The month of July and the following two months are well known for the annual festivals of majority of temples in Jaffna Peninsula. Valvettithurai area is not too exception for it.
The annual festival of Athisakthi Athivairavar temple and Netkozhu Vairavar temple, located at Athikovil and Orikadu respectively, have commenced day before yesterday, on 01st of Aug 2014. The festival would continue for 10 days, where the last day Holy bath festival is on 10th.
