5 TNA UC members lodge complaint at VVT Police, meet TNA head in Jaffna

Deputy Chairman Mr.Satheesh and another 4 TNA members, namely S.X.Kulanayakam K.Karunanatharasa, M.Mayuran and S.Piratheepan had lodged a complaint at the Valvettithurai Police station today at about noon for denying access in order to cast their votes for the UC budget of the following year of 2014, held VVT urban council complex today.
The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) controlled Valvettithurai urban council budget for the next year of 2014 was passed at the second reading today at about 1000 hours. 3 members have voted favourably, including a member of EPDP, where another EPDP member refrained from casting the vote, where 5 TNA members who had voted against the budget at the first reading on 17th of this month, had denied access by group of people to enter into the UC complex where the debate was to be held.
It is further learnt that having made the complaint at VVT Police taday, the 5 members had met TNA head at Jaffna today after noon. The decision of TNA after the said today meeting is unavailable at this time.
It is uncertain at this time that whether there would be another reading for passing the budget or not due to the absence of 5 members for casting the votes.
