Blood donation camp held at Valvettithurai, local blood donors honored

'Valvettithurai divisional hospital patients welfare association' organised a blood donation camp at 'Valvettithurai divisional hospital Hospital' on Sunday (04/10/15).
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Dr.Kalaichelvi, District Medical Officer - Valvettithurai divisional hospital, in which 45 volunteers, including women donated their blood.
Dr.Ravinathas (PHI) who oversees the Blood bank, Point Pedro Base hospital, Doctors and staff of Valvettithurai divisional hospital and Members of 'Valvettithurai divisional hospital patients welfare association' were also present during the event.
Dr.Kalaichelvi and Dr.Ravinathas along with well wishers presented 'Token of appreciation' to the accredited volunteers, who have been contributing blood through various blood donation camp in Jaffna.
The campaign which commenced at about 0900 hours has lasted till about 1300 hours.
